Hockey India League Revived with New Teams and Global Talent

Indian hockey is on rise after the Hockey team won medals at the Olympics and the Asian Champions Trophy.

And now, Hockey India (HI) is bringing back the Hockey India League (HIL) after a seven-year break.

The new HIL will have eight men’s teams and six women’s teams. This will be fun to watch.

HI has been planning for six months and wants to bring in top hockey players from around the world with good pay.

Currently, ten teams have signed up, and there will be an event to select players from October 13-15.

HI has made a significant agreement with the team owners for ten years, and there’s a lot of enthusiasm about it.

Over the next ten years, ₹3,640 crore will be invested in the league.

HI will contribute ₹112 crore each year, while the teams are expected to spend around ₹18 crore each year on players and coaches.

This funding will help pay the players and support young hockey talent as well.++++++*
